We were all at different levels, but we had one thing in common – loads of questions about the use of computers and other digital devices. How do I turn on a computer? What is email? What is Facebook? Twitter? How do I use an iPad? Which computer should I buy? We learned, we laughed and sometimes we cried with frustration. Why doesn’t this mouse move?
This very successful technology program is funded by the Long Island Program Services Cabinet of UJA-Federation of NY. Sessions were conducted by the Compass Project, which supports young adults with autism or learning disabilities. There have been three multi-week courses since July. It is a wonderful opportunity for Plainview seniors to have computer-related questions answered in a comfortable environment.
